Bio Companion

Space10 wanted to create an augmented reality “Biocompanion” assistant who can answer user’s questions about the environmental conditions. 

Biocompanion is a bird who follows users in 3D space, lands perfectly on hands, and answers questions about the weather and air quality in cities around the world. Biocompanion will also change the color of their feathers depending on the air quality in your area. This experience required 3D hand-tracking, Machine Learning to handle user voice commands, advanced shader work, and 3rd party API connections all within one Snap Lens. The entire experience was under 10mb with the same code running on Snap’s Spectacles headset and mobile phones, and was featured at Snap Incs. Lens Fest.
